The vineyard of the Chateau de la Croute overlooks the banks of the Dordogne.

Following their passion, Gilbert and Raymonde GODINEAU started the winery in 1950. It has remained a family owned property since then, taken over by their daughters Colette and Nicole at first and by their grandson Laurent recently.

The vineyards consist of 12 hectares, which are situated amongst the appellations Bordeaux Supérieur and Côtes de Bourg. The vines are about 40 years old and mainly composed of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The rosé is exclusively produced using Cabernet Sauvignon, while the reds Bordeaux Supérieur and Côtes de Bourg are a blend of different grapes varieties.

We pass on our craft from generations to generations, adapting it constantly to new environmental and climate challenges. Our goal is to always offer our best quality wines each year, which has allowed us to preserve faithful customers for decades.
